FAQ
Drain unblocking & jetting: your questions.
What is drain jetting?
A high-pressure water hose with a special nozzle goes into the drain. Jets on the nozzle pull it up the pipe and blast the blockage apart, and the water scours grease and silt off the pipe walls.
Who is responsible for my drain?
Generally, drains within your property are the owner's responsibility, and the public sewer beyond is Uisce Éireann's. If the blockage is in the public sewer, we will tell you so you can report it to them.
Will jetting damage my pipes?
Not when it's done at the right pressure for the pipe. If a pipe is already cracked or broken, we will tell you.
